Consultation Portal

The Core Strategy will set out the Council’s vision and overall strategy including the amount of new development required and where that development should be focused.  This will include strategic sites (e.g. for regeneration, or development), a broad policy framework which will identify areas of growth and restraint, policies for housing, employment and the economy, environmental protection and enhancement, energy, town centres and retailing,  transport and accessibility, planned community infrastructure framework and broad policies and criteria for managing development proposals.
